W00t! High-speed!

I was the last person in the United States with a dial-up connection. I now have cable. To my astonishment, the cable guy turned up promptly at 10:00 am, installed the cable and the software inside an hour, and only made one huge unsightly hole in the plaster wall and one large filthy smear on the livingroom ceiling, and forgot to change one essential LAN setting--entailing, therefore, only ONE desperate phonecall to my IT expert brother to tell me which control panel thingy to click and which other thingy to unclick. And then it only took two cold reboots to get it to work.

Amazing. I can now waste the rest of my life on Youtube.

Last dialup maybe, but not by much. We only got DSL last Saturday.
