Bias in the Media!
Jul. 22nd, 2004 11:04 pmOK, I was prepared for the newspapers and TV to be slanted in their election coverage, making my candidate and party look bad, but this is ridiculous. Now I know there really is a Great Big Right-Wing Conspiracy out there.
The July issue of Color Matters, an e-newsletter about pigments to which I subscribe, arrived in my in box with this nefarious bit of disguised electioneering:
Democrats Like Black Sheets
"Twice as many Democrats as Republicans say they have purchased black sheets. (Twenty-six percent of respondents admitted to having been tempted to buy black sheets, and twenty-one percent had already bought them.)"
http://colormatters.com/news_july_04//#Factoid
Whereas Republicans like white sheets, as we all know.
Hmph. I threw out my black sheets years ago. They showed the cat hair too much. Also threw out the black nail polish, ritual-sacrifice knife (that serrated edge was useless for anything but tomatoes), and dried goat blood.
It's the lack of closets in a NYC apartment that make the practice of Satanic, godless, immoral evil so difficult and cumbersome--unless, of course, you're rich and live in the Dakota like Maury Povich and Connie Chung and those other practicing Satanists. Someone made a movie about that crew once. Very big closets in the Dakota. The rest of us Democrats have to make do with casting the Bad Eye on anyone we see reading The Wall Street Journal in the subway.
