watchful_entity LJ yesterday? I was reading them last night and laughingandlaughing, and meant to save them, but alas, today they are gone. :-(
Damn. I wanted to use them for my forthcoming doctoral dissertation on metafreespeech and metahumor on the Metanet. Oh, all right, not really. Really I just wanted to save them in my Incredibly Funny folder, along with the VSDs, Weather in the Heart, and the annual report of the Halliburton Corp.
But I guess it turns out that the Eye of Sauron has no sense of humor after all.
Am very disappointed. I had gotten all optimistic after the Dept. of Homeland Security introduced its color-coded combination Terrorism Alert and Home Decor Program. (Terrorists are Summer and Autumn people, preferring warm intense shades of red, orange, and goldenrod. Which is why we can stop worrying about Martha Stewart, who is a Spring.) I thought, now this is proof that the Forces of Darkness are all former members of Monty Python.
Am still pretty sure Tom Ridge is really John Cleese. Have you ever seen them together? No. See?
