malsperanzaWell, I actually watched most of an episode of "Buffy" last night. I've seen it a few times over the years, & friends have been telling me for ages that I'd love it. Not. I have a block when it comes to TV. I feel my brains liquefying & trickling out my ears.
However, I will say that seeing Sunnydale sink into a huge smoking pit is my idea of a satisfying happy ending. I always liked the notion that a perky whitebread suburb was the Hellmouth, rather than the evil dark City (Metropolis, Gotham City, City of Dis).
Now, can anyone do anything about Orange County?
And why are people still picking on poor Cleveland? Shouldn't the Other Hellmouth be someplace like, oh, Boca Raton, Fla., or Park Ridge, Illinois, or Buckhead, Ga.?
Or, of course, Babylon, Long Island.
