(no subject)

Wow, haven't been here in a while.

Muggy in New York today and yesterday--low sky, heavy pressure, filtered sunlight: we are sitting on the edge of that massive storm down in the Gulf. Today I am remembering Camille and hoping the best for beautiful New Orleans, survivor of many such disasters, and giving a thought also to the friends in the low country of the Atchafalaya Swamp, who have probably also moved to higher ground and will be pumping out their houses next week. I hope.

Cat!Central

At the moment, I have 4 cats. How this happened still puzzles me, but before I attempt to explain it to myself or anyone else...

I need to find another home for one of them. She's a sweet, all-white short-hair with pale yellow eyes and a beautiful heart-shaped face. She's about one year old. She's been spayed and has all her shots and is litter-trained. No adoption fee. She would prefer to be in a home with no other cats. (Or even with just one other cat.)

Folks in the New York area: anyone in the market for a young adult white cat? Gentle, shy, elegant. Sits by the ferns and looks absolutely gorgeous. If I can borrow a digital camera, I will try to post some pix.

I do love cats. If I lived in a house, I'd get a dog too.
